According to reports, Barcelona are considering a deal for Raheem Sterling this summer.
Manchester City are expected to have a busy summer transfer window as they try to recover from their Champions League final humiliation and replace Sergio Aguero.
A number of major players have been linked with a transfer away from the Etihad, with Sterling being the most shocking.
Despite having a rough season and falling down Pep Guardiola's pecking order, the attacker remains an essential player for the team, contributing 26 goals and assists last season.
However, after being linked with a move to Arsenal last week, Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly expressed interest in Sterling.
The cash-strapped Catalans have mostly relied on free agents this summer, such as Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia, but Sport reports that the club is optimistic in their ability to raise finances for one major deal.
Sterling's name is said to be on the shortlist because he is considered as an excellent successor for Ousmane Dembele should the Frenchman's contract not be renewed.
Barcelona, on the other hand, are aware that his price tag is too high for their budget, and that some makeweight players will be required to bring the price down.
