Antoine Griezmann Closing In On Atletico Madrid Return

According to reports, talks between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona on the sale of Antoine Griezmann have proceeded to the point where the two clubs are debating the fee structure of a loan with an obligation to buy.

The two clubs are now working out the details of the deal after initially discussing a €10 million loan with a €50 million buyout clause, however the specifics are still being worked out.


With a three-year deal on the table, the World Cup winner has agreed to return to his old club.


Los Colchoneros had advised other target today, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Pablo Sarabia, that Los Colchoneros had moved on to other choices. Despite initially preferring a return to La Liga, the former Sevilla man has accepted to join Sporting CP on loan.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Antoine Griezmann has full agreement on personal terms with Atletico Madrid and it’s now matter of last details between Atléti and Barça to complete the deal.


Barça are progressing in talks to sign Luuk de Jong from Sevilla to replace Griezmann.
