Bayern Join Race To Sign Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos announced earlier this month that he will leave Real Madrid after 16 years when his contract expires at the end of June.

Despite his age, Ramos will be inundated with offers. The Spaniard is expected to be linked with a number of prominent European clubs, including Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich have also made an offer to Ramos, according to ESPN. Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are vying for the veteran Spanish defender, as are the German Champions.

Die Roten want to sign Ramos to bring experience to the center-back position after the departures of Jerome Boateng and David Alaba, according to this report. Javi Martinez, a center-back who left the club this summer, is another alternative.

Ramos will demand a huge wage and a two-year deal. It will be unusual if Die Roten are adamant about wage structure but then pay Ramos a large salary package. Ramos, on the other hand, will undoubtedly provide a wealth of experience to the club's young central defense.

Ramos' fitness record in the last 12 months has been abysmal, despite his large salary contract. In 2021, he only appeared in ten games for Real Madrid, prompting Luis Enrique to leave him out of the Spanish squad for Euro 2020.
