Arsenal Duo Guendouzi And Saliba Set For Marseille Loan

 Arsenal French duo Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba set to join Ligue 1 side Marseille on a seasoned log-loan deal according to reports.


Since signing from Saint-Etienne in 2019, Saliba has yet to made a competitive appearance for the north London club, while Guendouzi has fallen out of favor with manager Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.


Guendouzi is not part of Arteta's long-term intentions, and after a loan season, he might join Marseille permanently at the end of the 2021/22 season.


The deal for Guendouzi includes an obligation to at the end of the 2021/2022 season for €11m, while Saliba's deal is a dry-loan with no option to buy as Mikel Arteta view him as a one for the future. 


After finishing eighth in the Premier League last season and missing out on European competition, Arteta is aiming to rebuild his squad.


Ben White, a defender from Brighton, is on the verge of joining for £55 million, while Nuno Tavares, a left-back from Benfica and Albert Sambi Lokonga, a central midfielder from Anderletch are also close to joining.
