AC Milan and Chelsea are in advanced discussion over a permanent trade for Fikayo Tomori.
The England international defender, who came through the Stamford Bridge academy system, spent the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan at San Siro.
Tomori made enough of an impression in 22 outings to persuade the Rossoneri that he is worth keeping, and a new contract is being sought.
In the loan arrangement signed in January, Chelsea includes a purchase option for Milan.
The Serie A heavyweights were informed that keeping the 23-year-old in Italy would cost them £26 million ($37 million).
