Dortmund Rejects Man United Opening Bid For Sancho

Manchester United's €78 million (£67 million) offer for Jadon Sancho has been rejected by Borussia Dortmund, as the two clubs continue to negotiate over the forward's future.

United spent the entire of last summer attempting to persuade Dortmund to sell the England forward, but their efforts were ultimately unsuccessful due to a lack of agreement between the two parties to agree a price.

United's interest in Sancho hasn't waned as a result of their unsuccessful pursuit, and they've wasted no time in resuming talks with the Bundesliga club this summer.

Dortmund is said to have given United until the end of July to reach an agreement, and BBC Sport reports that a bid of €78 million (£67 million) has already been rejected.

Die Borussen think the offer falls short of their appraisal of the 21-year-old and are demanding €90 million (£77.3 million) plus €5 million (£4.3 million) in add-ons.

There's also the payment structure to consider, with Dortmund insisting that United's five-year deal be cut.

Should United and Dortmund reach an agreement on the money within the timeframe, Sancho and United have a gentleman's agreement in place regarding the terms on offer.
