Milwaukee Bucks Fear Giannis Antetokounmpo Might Have Tore His ACL

The Milwaukee Bucks are concerned that Giannis Antetokounmpo might have tore his ACL in his left knee in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at Atlanta on Tuesday as they await results of an MRI scan.

When Antetokounmpo left the game in the third quarter of the Bucks' loss to the Hawks, he was officially diagnosed with a hyperextended left knee. An update on Antetokounmpo is likely before Thursday. His availability for Game 5 in Milwaukee on Thursday is in doubt.

After losing 110-88 to tie the best-of-seven series at two victories apiece, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said, "We'll see how he is tomorrow."

Budenholzer continued, "We'll take everything as it comes." “We'll have a look at it. We have a great team and a great roster.”

Prior to the MRI, team sources with the Bucks suspected a "serious ACL injury," according to Bleacher Report.

After getting wounded with 7:14 left in the third period, Antetokounmpo was taken off the floor by his brother Thanasis. He didn't show up.

When Giannis Antetokounmpo leaped to block an alley-oop ball to Hawks big man Clint Capela, he got injured. As he landed, Antetokounmpo's knee bent unnaturally. After scoring the basket, he dropped to the court in excruciating pain, clutching his knee, and Capela fell on top of him.

When he left to be evaluated, the two-time NBA MVP had 14 points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes. He returned to the court less than three minutes later, but then left for the locker room once more.
