Atletico Madrid And Barcelona In Advance Talks For Saul - Griezmann Swap Deal

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are in advance negotiations in a swap deal that will bring Saul Niguez to the Camp Nou and Antoine Grienmann will return to the Wanda Metropolitano

The Blaugrana have yet to register any of their new acquisitions, and it has been suggested that they will need to cut their wage bill by another €175 million to be within La Liga's salary cap.

Griezmann has been linked with a move away from the club, and it has now been stated that they have agreed to exchange him for Atletico Madrid's Saul.

The move would free up roughly €12 million in salary, with an amortisation of around €60-70 million, which was apparently Saul's price tag.

Griezmann had a difficult debut season at the Blaugrana, but he improved dramatically last season, scoring 20 goals and assisting 13 times in all competitions.

Despite this, the club is willing to switch him, which is understandable given their recent signings of Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay to improve their attack.
