According to Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, the United States Men's National Basketball Team has finalized their 12-man roster for the rescheduled 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 12-man roster for the Tokyo Olympics for Team USA is as follows:
Kevin Durant
Lillard, Damian
Bradley Beal
Jayson Tatum
Devin Booker
Zach LaVine
Kevin Love
Bam Adebayo
Draymond Green
Holiday Jrue
Middleton, Khris
Grant, Jerami
After James Harden withdrew his name to recover from a hamstring injury this winter, Detroit Pistons combo forward Jerami Grant and Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine committed to Team USA.
Grant and Lavine join Damian Lillard, Draymond Green, Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Bam Adebayo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Kevin Love on a roster that includes Damian Lillard, Draymond Green, Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Bam Adebayo, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Kevin Love.
The United States is made up entirely of current and previous All-Stars, with the exception of Jerami. Gregg Popovich, as head coach of Team USA, will undoubtedly have a strong chance of earning his first gold medal at the Olympics.
The USMNBT will begin training camp on July 6 in Las Vegas before traveling to Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics. From July 25 to August 1, the group stages will take place, followed by the knockout rounds from August 3 to August 7.
At the 2008 Beijing, 2012 London, and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, the Red, White, and Blue were undefeated 24-0 and won three gold medals in a row. In 2021, they'll be the favourites for the gold medal once more.
