Manny Pacquiao is set to make his 22nd career appearance in Las Vegas as he faces Errol Spence Jr.
The WBA title on the line in this battle. Due to his extended inactivity, Pacquiao was demoted from WBA "Super" champion to "Champion in Recess," however he has since filed an appeal to have his title reign reinstated. The aforementioned move benefited Yordenis Ugas, yet a successful appeal by Pacquiao will return the Cuban welterweight to WBA 'World titlist'.

It will also transform the fight's status from a unified WBC/IBF title battle to a three-belt unification bout on August 21.
Irrespective of the stakes, Spence will make his second unified WBC/IBF championship defense and sixth overall defense of the IBF title he won in an 11th round knockout of Kell Brook in Sheffield, England in May 2017.
Spence added the WBC title to his collection after a well-deserved split decision victory over Shawn Porter in a thrilling September 2019 unification showdown at Staples Center in Los Angeles—his lone fight outside of the greater Dallas region among his last four.
Spence is coming off a 12-round unanimous decision victory over Danny Garcia, a former two-division champion, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington last December. Pacquiao's fight at T-Mobile Arena will be his first in Vegas since June 2015, when he knocked out Phil De Greco in the third round during a four-fight 2015 campaign that saw him go from unbeaten prospect to world champion.
Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) will stage two major boxing events at T-Mobile Arena in only four weeks. The arena will also host a PPV event on July 24 featuring lineal/WBC champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21KOs) vs. former long-reigning champion Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41KOs), which will be co-presented by ESPN and Fox Sports.
