PSG have completed a deal for to sign Inter Milan right-wing back Achraf Hakimi, beating off interest from Premier League club Chelsea, according to SkySport Italian journalist Gianluca DiMarzio. The deal will cost PSG €70m where the player will earn €8m per year and a further €2m in bonuses.
The deal is all but agreed pending official announcement. Although the fee initially was an obstacle for the French giants, but DiMarzio confirmed on SkySport that they have reached an agreement of around €70m for the Moroccan international.
The player will earn a circa €8m per year as well as additional €2m performance related bonuses.
This will come as a blow to Chelsea who were also in the race to sign the 22-year-old and were ready to include players in a player plus cash deal. But the Italian champions have always insisted on a straight cash deal for the talented wing-back. In the end, the French side have overtaken Chelsea in the race.
